The band's old name, Cray, was already used by the Australian artist Ross Healy, as an alias under which he brought out an album, Undo, back in 2001.
This is him:
Click HERE to hate him now!!!!
Do it, no seriously. We made the button clickable.
BUT here's the part that's really cool - and we never told anyone: Cray had a secret meaning...
If you were to look in an old (and I mean OLD) Oxford Dictionary, one of those huge ones they split up into two volumes, you'll notice the following sections on the word Cray.
Cray. 1. Chalk. 2. A disease of hawks, in which the excrements become hard and are passed with difficulty - 1618.
After that, I'd say the name change seems less of a tragedy - and more like divine intervention...
So with this in mind, we wish mr. Healy all of the best with his future abortions.
